摘要

公示语是一种日常生活中随处可见的公共性语言，其重要性不言而喻，因此对公示语的不恰当使用会导致不良后果。公示语是一个城市的名片和帮助外国人了解中国的工具，公示语英译的质量高低势必会影响中国的城市形象乃至国家形象，还会误导外国游客，给其造成困扰。

本文将在目的论的指导下进行中国公示语的英译研究，该研究对所收集的实例进行对比分析，试图指出其中的错误与问题，并提出相应的翻译方法，为中国公示语英译提供一些借鉴，力图使中国公示语的英译更加规范和地道。
