从功能对等看商务英语翻译中的文化差异_英语论文
Cultural Differences in Business C-E Translation in View of Functional Equivalence
摘要
随着经济的发展,各国之间贸易往来越来越正常化。现如今,中国的国力不断增强并且在世界经济中扮演了十分重要的角色。并且,中国与其他国家的商务往来也愈加频繁。也就是说,商务英语翻译的重要性因此而不断提高。不恰当的翻译可能会导致一些不必要的麻烦,因而产生损失。同时,各国之间的文化差异也成为了一个不可忽视的问题。如果只关注形式上的一致,翻译的结果很大程度上就会出现一些误解。因此,本文采取了尤金·奈达的功能对等理论来解决由于文化差异而带来的问题。奈达的功能对等不仅关注词汇方面,也关注词义、风格以及文体形式。“首先是意义上的对等,其次是风格上的对等”是对其中心思想的最好诠释。根据不同的语境采取不同的翻译方法可以很好地解决文化差异带来的问题。

Abstract
With the development of economy, more and more business transactions between countries are needed. Nowadays, China’s national strength has been enhanced and has played an important role in the world economy. We can also see that the business transactions between China and other countries are more frequent than before. It means that the business C-E translation is becoming more and more important. Improper translation may cause some unnecessary problems which will make us suffer losses. However, problems caused by some cultural differences between different countries are unavoidable. If attention is only paid to the consistency of forms, there may be some misunderstandings. So Eugene Nida’s functional equivalence will be adopted to solve the problems resulting from cultural differences. Nida’s functional equivalence focuses not only on vocabularies but also on the meanings of words, styles and literary forms. At the same time, it uses different translation methods according to different situations. In this way, the business C-E translation can be more accurate and effective and we can avoid some unnecessary misunderstandings. Problems caused by cultural differences can be better solved with different translation methods according to different situations.
