目的论视角下的电影字幕翻译-以《十二生肖》为例_英语论文

Film Subtitle Translation from the Perspective of Skopos Theory--A Case Study of Chinese Zodiac

摘要

随着全球化，中西方文化交流日益深入。电影成为跨文化交流的主要方式。中国电影走出国门，字幕翻译倍受关注，成为一个新兴领域。为弘扬中华文化，提升中国电影地位，做好中国电影字幕翻译意义重大。本文以目的论为理论依据，以电影《十二生肖》为例，分析了目的论三大原则在电影字幕翻译中的应用。指出目的论在电影字幕翻中译起着重要作用。

Abstract

With the development of globalization, the cross-culture exchanges between the East and the West are widespread and increasingly deepening. Movies have become a main way of cultural exchanges. Chinese films are gradually reaching out to the world and they are becoming more and more popular. In recent years, Chinese films have attracted a lot of foreign audience. As a consequence, subtitle translation is focused by more and more people. Subtitle translation has become a newly emerging field. In order to disseminate the extensive and profound Chinese culture and to improve the status and influence of Chinese film, it is meaningful and necessary to do a good job in Chinese film subtitle translation. On the basis of the core theory - skopos theory and with the subtitle in the movie Chinese Zodiac directed by Jackie Chan as a research object, this paper tries to analyze the applications of skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule to the subtitle translation. and finally prove that skopos theory helps provide a subtitle translation, which is complete, smooth and easy to understand, realizing effective communication between target language audience and films.
