A Pragmatics-based Analysis of Dialogues in Coco_英语论文

摘要

电影《寻梦环游记》是皮克斯动画工作室的第19部动画长片，该片的灵感源于墨西哥亡灵节，讲述的是一个12岁的墨西哥男孩米格自幼梦想成为像他曾曾祖父一样的音乐家，但却遭受到全家的反对，因为当年他的曾曾祖父为了追寻自己的音乐梦想抛妻弃子。在亡灵节那天，米格因为偶然机会踏上了亡灵之地。在那里，他遇到了逝去的祖辈们，在他们的帮助下，米格顺利回到了人间。根据目前收集到的相关文献显示，对该片的相关研究大都集中于亲情、爱情、梦想、价值观等等这些主题，较少有人对该片的人物对话进行分析。因此本文以格莱斯的合作原则和会话含义理论为理论框架，以电影《寻梦环游记》为语料，试图对电影对白进行系统而详细的会话分析。对电影《寻梦环游记》的对白进行会话分析，有助于更好地了解故事情节以及人物性格，分析人物形象，揭示作品的内涵与艺术魅力。

Abstract

The movie Coco is Pixar Animation Studio's 19th animated feature film. Inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead, the film tells of a 12-year-old Mexican boy Miguel who dreamed of becoming a musician like his great-great-grandfather since childhood, but was opposed by his families because his great-great-grandfather abandoned his wife and child in pursuit of his musical dreams. On the Day of the Dead, Miguel set out to the Land of the Dead by chance. In there, he met his lost ancestors. With their help, Miguel went back to Land of the Living. According to the relevant literature collected at present, most of the relevant research on the film focuses on the themes of family, love, dreams, values and so on. Few people analyze the dialogue of the characters in the film. Therefore, based on the framework of Grice’s Cooperative Principle and Conversational Implicature, the present paper attempts to make a systematic and detailed conversational analysis of the dialogue in the movie Coco. Conversational analysis of the dialogue in the movie Coco helps to better understand the plot and characters and reveal the connotation and artistic charm of the works.
