摘要

语篇是指交流过程中一系列短语或句子组成的一个整体，在功能上相当于人的一种交际行为。之所以能够被称为语篇，文章除了体现要表达的主题，还包括篇章中的句子相互联系，相互连贯，从而能够清晰地传达信息。 本文采用M.A.K.Halliday的系统功能语言学作为理论框架，根据他对语篇功能中衔接的阐述，以奥斯卡·王尔德的《渔夫和他的灵魂》为语料，运用衔接手段中的照应、省略、连接、重复等方面对语篇进行分析，旨在探讨文章结构和文章中的句子如何相互联系。

之所以选择衔接理论来分析，首先是在阅读文献时发现大多数读者主要从故事主题，中英翻译和浪漫主义这三个方面来研究王尔德这篇童话故事，缺少从语篇的结构上来分析，其次是衔接手段的运用在这一语料中比较显著，最后是希望藉此分析，能够为日后文章的阅读和理解提供借鉴和参考。通过研究发现，衔接手段不仅能使文本清晰、连贯，而且能进一步促进情节的发展，使文章内容更加紧凑。

Abstract

Text refers to a whole set of phrases or sentences in the process of communication, which is functionally equivalent to a communicative act of human beings. In addition to reflecting the theme that the text expresses, the reason why it can be called a discourse is the sentences in the text are interconnected and coherent so as to convey the message clearly. Based on M.A.K. Halliday's systemic functional linguistics and his exposition of cohesion in textual functions,this paper uses Oscar Wilde's work, The Fisherman and His Soul as the example to analyze cohesive devices used in the text, including reference, ellipsis, connection, repetition, etc., aiming to discuss how the structure of the text forms and the sentences in the text relate to each other.

The reason why I chose cohesion theory to analyze this fairy tale is that when I reviewed the literature, I found that most readers mainly studied Wilde's fairy tale from three aspects: the theme of the story, English-Chinese translation and Romanticism, but lack textual analysis. Secondly, the use of cohesive devices is more prominent in this story. Finally, after analyzing the story, I hope it will be a reference for my future reading and interpretation. After study and research, it is found that cohesive devices can not only make the text clear and coherent, but also further promote the development of the plot and make the content of the article more compact.
