An Analysis of Subtitle Translation of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel from the Perspective of Skopostheorie_英语论文

摘要

随着经济全球化的发展以及各国之间日益密切的文化往来，越来越多优秀的影视作品在海内外传播开来。字幕翻译作为翻译领域中的新兴研究领域，日益受到海内外译界人士的关注。目的论的出现打破了传统翻译理论的界限，为字幕翻译领域开拓了一个崭新的研究视角。在翻译过程中，译者只有充分把握目的论的三大原则，以目的语观众为归宿，采取恰当的字幕翻译策略，才能达到文化交际的目的。本文试图以美剧《了不起的麦瑟尔夫人》为例，从目的论视角对该剧的字幕翻译进行分析，在理论的基础上运用剧中的一些典型例子作出具体分析探讨，并总结一些能有效应用于字幕翻译这一领域的实用方法。笔者也希望能有机会能与社会各界志同道合的字幕翻译爱好者交流学习，共同进步。

Abstract

With the development of economic globalization and the increasingly close cultural exchanges among countries, more and more excellent audiovisual works spread at home and abroad. As a new research field in translation, subtitle translation has received increasing attention from people in translation circles at home and abroad. The emergence of Skopostheorie breaks the boundary of traditional translation theory and opens up a new research perspective for the field of subtitle translation. In the process of translation, only by fully grasping the three rules of Skopostheorie, taking the target language audience as the destination, and adopting appropriate subtitle translation strategies, can the translator achieve the goal of cultural communication. This thesis tries to analyze the subtitle translation of an American TV play The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel from the perspective of Skopostheorie. In the thesis, concrete analysis and discussion are made in order to summarize some practical methods which could be effectively applied to the field of subtitle translation. The author hopes to have the opportunity to discuss with those subtitle translation enthusiasts to learn and make common progress.
