The Analysis of the Main Characters of Gone Girl by Jung's Archetype Theory_英语论文

摘要

《消失的爱人》是美国女作家吉莉安·弗琳第三部小说，出版于2012年。2014年，《消失的爱人》电影版由作者吉莉安·弗琳亲自操笔改编成电影，并由大卫·芬奇执导。《消失的爱人》讲述的了一对恩爱夫妻如何从相爱到最后的相互控制，最终将两人的婚姻变得名存实亡的黑色幽默故事。瑞士心理学家荣格在他的分析心理学中提出了原型理论。在数十种的原型中，他强调了四种典型的原型，分别是阿尼玛/阿尼姆斯、人格面具、阴影及自性。本文以荣格原型理论为切入点，分别从人格面具、阴影以及自性角度出发，分析《消失的爱人》中男女主角的人物形象，并分析原本幸福美满的婚姻最后破裂的原因。

Abstract

Gone Girl, which was published in 2012, is the third fiction written by Flynn. The movie concerns how an affectionate couple changes from harmonious marriage life to controlling and false happy marriage life. The Swiss psychologist Jung proposed a dozen of archetypes in his archetype theory, among which he emphasizes four crucial archetypes which are anima/ animus, persona, shadow and self. This thesis is going to analyze the main characters in the Gone Girl and how their broken marriage finally comes into being from the perspective of persona, shadow and self based on the Jung’s archetype theory.
