A Study of English Loanwords in Chinese Internet Catchwords from the Perspective of Ecological Linguistics_英语论文

摘要

在世界进步的过程中，不同民族和国家的文化融合有利于文化的发展，不同的语言体系之间的融合有利于语言的发展。当中文从英语中吸收了大量的借词，这对中文的丰富和发展起着积极而重要的作用。因此，汉语中含有英语借词成为了一种常见的语言现象。 生态语言学的任务是通过研究语言的生态因素和语言与生态的关系，揭示语言与环境的相互作用（黄国文，2016）。作为一种新兴的语言，网络流行语是语言动态变化的体现，是反映社会变化的一面镜子。 本论文以2008年到2018年这十年来含有英文借词的网络流行语材料作为语料来源，运用生态语言学理论，分析其借用方式、借用特点，并总结出其产生的社会生态影响、人文生态影响和自然生态影响。同时，研究结果也表明：不文明使用网络流行语会给语言环境造成一定污染，人们应该取其精华，去其糟粕，共建和谐网络生态。

Abstract

In the process of world progress, the integration of cultures of different nationalities and countries is conducive to the development of culture while the integration of different language systems is conducive to the development of language. Chinese absorbs a lot of loanwords from English, which has a positive and important effect on the enrichment and development of Chinese language. The inclusion of English loanwords in Chinese has now become a popular linguistic phenomenon. The mission of eco-linguistics is to reveal the interaction between language and the environment by studying the ecological factors of language and the relationship between language and ecology (黄国文, 2016). As an emerging language phenomenon, Internet catchwords are the embodiment of the dynamic changes of language. They are mirrors reflecting social changes. This paper uses the online catchwords containing English loanwords from 2008 to 2018 as the source of corpus. Under the theory of eco-linguistics, this paper analyzes the borrowing methods and its characteristics, and summarizes its ecological impacts on people, society and nature. The research results also show that the uncivilized use of online catchwords will cause certain pollution to the language environment. People should take their essence and discard the dross so as to build a harmonious network ecosystem.
