摘要 

中华文化典籍术语即中国文化史上的一些关键词，覆盖文、史、哲三大方面，典籍术语是中华民族传统思想文化的核心，其有效英译既有利于传承并发扬中华民族优秀文化，又能使中国更好地“走出去”，提高国家文化软实力以及国民的文化自信。以往的中华文化典籍术语英译并未得到足够的重视，相关研究存在体量小且视角单一的问题。迄今为止，“中华思想文化术语库”已经通过网站公布了600多条术语，这些语料为翻译研究了非常宝贵的资源。

本文基于“中华思想文化术语库”的语料库，从文化符号学角度对其进行思考研究。探究了中华典籍术语的文化符号本质，论证了中华典籍术语的英译是汉英符号圈的运动，并总结了其英译的文化符号学路径及翻译策略。最后还通过相应的文献阅读以及对比分析，阐述了一些具体情况下应该使用的翻译方法。力求为中华文化典籍的术语英译提供一个新的角度，提升典籍术语英译的质量。
