摘要 

《瓦尔登湖》是美国作家亨利·大卫·梭罗的代表作，是一部因展现了自然的朴素、和谐和美丽而饱受赞誉的美国经典著作。随着全球工业化进程的推进和环境的逐步恶化，都市居民的生活节奏不断加快，生活压力也在不断上升，他们对于此类作品的兴趣也随之与日俱增。人们开始出现从阅读中寻求庇护的倾向，以期通过阅读来逃离凡尘琐事的侵扰。中国作为一个新兴的充满活力的工业国家，其国民的诉求更是如此。目前，市场上有几十种相应的中文译本，但对它们的研究还较为缺乏。              

由胡庚申教授提出的生态翻译学，是一门源于中国的比较新兴的翻译理论，在翻译研究中仍有一定的研究空间。胡教授受到达尔文生物进化论的启发，采用了跨学科的方式，通过研究译文来研究译者与其所处生态环境之间的相互作用。在翻译过程中，各种生态环境因素影响着译者的选择。换言之，译者对这些因素进行适应。适应是该理论提出的一个基本原则，它对翻译的理论支撑、潜在发展和翻译方法论进行了系统的阐释。              

本篇论文试图从生态翻译学的角度对《瓦尔登湖》的两个译本进行比较研究，通过对原本和译本进行对照分析，以及对比两个译本之间的差异，分析徐迟和王义国两位译者对翻译生态环境的适应。首先，从两个译本中选取部分语段与原文进行对比，并将这些语段进行分类，然后再逐类进行比较，以寻求译者对翻译生态环境的不同适应。由此，人们可以进一步理解生态翻译学对翻译实践的影响，并将其视为一种具有实用性的理论。另外，本文还将尽可能对此类作品的翻译在策略上提出一些建设性的建议。
