摘要 

电影《肖申克的救赎》自1994年被导演弗兰克·德拉邦特搬上荧幕之后，便受到了各界的关注和好评。本论文从皮尔士的符号三分法出发，即肖似性符码、指示性符码、象征性符码，分析电影《肖申克的救赎》中主要的人物符号、道具符号、光影符号以及音乐符号等影像符号的意义。由符号的外延意义，深入到符号的内涵意义，启示人们人性是复杂多面的且没有绝对的善与恶，人性需要被辩证地看待。即使在极端环境下，人性的黑暗面依然是可以被人性中的理性与信念救赎，关键在于人对人性善的坚守。与此同时，旨在鼓励读者，尤其是身处人生困境的读者，学会用人性的理性和信念，来战胜人性的黑暗面，克服人生遭遇的艰难困苦，最终实现人生价值。
