摘要

毛姆一生游历甚广，著作颇丰，他曾来中国游历并在作品中塑造了大量中国形象。毛姆一方面试图以客观的眼光来看待中国及中国形象，另一方面却始终无法摆脱欧洲人对中国人根深蒂固的认识。社会原因与个人原因交织导致了其笔下中国形象的复杂矛盾及变化。本文旨在以《在中国屏风上》为例，从比较文学变异学的角度阐明毛姆笔下复杂矛盾且不断变化的中国形象，并分析这种形象变化的原因。
