摘要

本文以动物习语在中英语中隐喻的不同含义为研究对象。我们通过动物习语这种新颖的语言载体为线索，探究不同文化对同一对象的不同理解，了解中西方文化的差异。通过比较中英语中动物习语隐喻的不同含义，我们可以了解到中西方文化不同的文化内涵，也可以发现语言和修辞（语用）的多样性，更好地掌握并正确运用动物习语，使我们的表达更加幽默风趣，表达意义更加准确，交际交流更加通畅。
