Resistance and Pursuit——Comparison of Lin Daiyu and Jane Eyre's Love Views   

摘要

林黛玉与简爱是中西文学作品中两个具有反抗精神的女性形象, 本文分析比较了两人所处的时代特征和爱情观。她们的女性自我意识得到了觉醒, 抗争不公的命运而受到人们的赞颂, 一个是命途多舛，最终香消玉殒, 一个是一波三折，却最终结局圆满。 尽管她们爱情结局大相径庭, 但对后人的人生观有积极的启迪作用。

Abstract

Lin Daiyu and Jane Eyre are two female characters depicted in Chinese and English literary works who have demonstrated the spirit of resistance. This paper aims to compare the characteristics of the times in which the two characters and their attitudes toward love. Both   Lin Daiyu and Jane Eyre have got readers’ admiration for their female consciousness and their struggle for true love. Although their love stories end differently, they have positive inspirations  on modern people's outlook of life.
