功能对等视角下的字幕翻译-以《变形金刚4》为例_英语论文

On Translation for the Subtitle of Transformers: Age of Extinction

摘要

随着中外文化交流不断深化，越来越多的外国电影进入中国市场，电影字幕的翻译也逐渐成为了一个新的领域。鉴于英文电影字幕翻译中存在的由于对文化、情节理解不当而造成的翻译的偏差以及普遍的直译导致翻译生硬甚至脱离情节等问题，本文以《变形金刚4》为例，探讨功能对等理论在英文电影字幕翻译中的指导作用，提出电影字幕翻译应该以接受者的反应为核心，用最接近源语语义、文体、风格的目标语言再现源语信息。

Abstract

With the deepening of Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, more and more foreign films swarm into the Chinese market, the subtitle translation has become a new field. In view of the problems of the subtitle translation,for example: translating deviation due to translator’s misunderstanding of the culture or the plot; stiff translation or translation does not match the plot caused by translator’s overusing the literal translation, this paper make Transformers: Age of Extinction as an example to have a discussion about the role which functional equivalence play of guiding subtitle translating, pointing out that subtitle translation should focus on receptor response and the essence of the translation is to reproduce the source text with the closest natural equivalence in target language.
