初中英语词汇组块教学研究

Study on Lexical Chunks Teaching in Junior High School English Class

摘要

如今的英语词汇教学普遍缺乏具体指导,这是学生不能高效记忆与灵活运用词汇的重要原因。本文从这一普遍现象出发,阐述了词汇组块教学的理论基础,并采用实验法,对嘉兴二十一世纪外国语学校155班的学生进行了调查。以初中英语课堂的一节阅读课为例,观察总结英语词汇组块教学法在其中的具体应用,调查学生对这种新型教学法的态度看法,并检测了其教学效果。实验证明该法在初中课堂是行之有效的,通过指导学生识别、生成、应用词汇组块,帮助学生提高了说和读两种语言技能和综合语言运用能力。但在多大程度上提高语言能力还有待探究。

Abstract

Nowadays English vocabulary teaching generally lacks of specific instruction, which is an important reason why students fail to memorize efficiently and apply flexibly. On the basis of this general phenomenon, the paper expounds the theoretical basis of lexical chunks teaching. Through listening to a reading class in Grade two junior (Class 155) in Jiaxing 21st century foreign language school, the study aims to explore the application of lexical teaching method, interview students’ attitudes and detect its teaching effect. The experimental results show that the method is effective in the junior high school classroom. Through the identification, production, application of lexical chunks, it helps students improve their language skills and comprehensive ability especially two kinds of productive skills, speaking and reading, but to what extent to improve the language ability remains to be explored.
