论庞德和李商隐诗歌意象的诗学共识

Poetic Consensus of Ezra Pound and Li Shangyin in Images

摘要

埃兹拉·庞德(Ezra Pound,1885-1972)是20世纪英美文坛举足轻重的人物之一,他所倡导的意象派诗歌运动开启了英美现代诗歌之先河。与此同时,正是由于翻译家的另一重身份,庞德将中国诗人构建意境的技巧运用于自己的诗歌创作中。无独有偶,中国诗人李商隐是唐代诗歌的最后一座里程碑,其代表诗作都以隐晦深奥、沉博艳丽为艺术特色。本文从诗学理论着手,以他们的生平经历所形成的性格为出发点,对比美国现代意象主义和中国古典意象及其创作手法, 揭示两者间的共同之处(诗歌意象中出现的悲剧色彩,诗歌意象的引用,诗歌意象中肖像意象的使用),或许能够为中西文化的交流提供现实意义。

Abstract

Ezra Pound (1885-1972) is one of the most important figures of British and American literary circles in the 20th century. His imaginative poetry movement has opened the front line of Anglo-American modern poetry. At the same time, it is because of the translator's another identity, Pound had a good command of the methods that how Chinese poets build the artistic conception while writing poetry, and then he applied this skill to his own poetry creation. Coincidentally, the Chinese poet Li Shangyin is the last mile of the Tang Dynasty poetry. The language style of his representative poems is characterized with vagueness and profoundness. This paper starts from the poetics theory, takes the character formed by their life experience as the starting point, compares the American modern imagism with the Chinese classical imagism, as well as their creative approaches. With theses efforts, I hope I can reveal some similarities between the two (including sorrow of poetic images; allusion of poetic images; portrait images of poetic images), perhaps it provides practical significance for exchange of the Chinese and Western culture.
