从关联理论分析电影字幕翻译的翻译策略—以《功夫熊猫》为例

An analysis of the translation strategies of film subtitle translation from the perspective of Relevance Theory -A case study of Kung Fu Panda

摘要

在当今全球化发展的大环境下，电影字幕翻译对于电影跨文化，跨国家的传播来说，具有非凡的意义。翻译过程中，要尽力做到译文简洁又不失准确性，大致符合电影原意的同时又通俗易懂。如此一来，才有可能实现观众观赏需求与电影艺术效果双赢局面。因此把关联理论运用到电影字幕翻译中是十分有必要的。形成一套完整的翻译体系，不仅可为观众创造印象深刻的观影享受，还能大大增加电影本身魅力。本文首先对电影字幕翻译做些简介，然后从关联理论的角度，结合电影《功夫熊猫》的台词，具体分析关联理论的因素及在字幕翻译中的运用，并展开论述其中的字幕翻译策略，方法。希望为电影字幕翻译工作的开展起到一定的启发和实用价值。

Abstract

Film subtitle translation brings huge importance to film's cross-cultural communication in situations of globalization. Therefore, during the process of translation, it is necessary to try to accomplish the goal that the translation is accurate, concise as well as easy to understand and meet the context of the film as much as possible. Only in this way can we not only satisfy the audience's viewing needs, but also to ensure the artistic effect and visual effect of the film. For those reasons, it is of great significance to introduce Relevance Theory into film subtitle translation as well as affect both the practice and the theory of translation. The complex becomes simple, the arcane turns into vivid and the meaningful changes into visible. From the perspective of the audience's appreciation, to establish a complete system of translation, try to create a more lively context, so as to impress the local audiences and increase the charm of the film. This paper is aimed to analyze and discuss the strategies of subtitle translation in Kung Fu Panda from the perspective of relevance theory. First of all, introduce the film subtitle translation, and then explain and expound methods of film subtitle translation combined with concrete examples from the movie Kung Fu Panda. It is hoped that this paper will play a certain inspiration and practical value.
