Negative Transfer of Chinese Thought Pattern in TEM-8 Writing

摘要

由于以英语为母语的思维模式与以汉语为母语的思维模式在多个纬度上存在差异，造成汉语思维模式在外语习得过程中的负迁移，这也成为阻碍学生提高英语写作水平的重要原因。本文将从英汉思维模式的差异入手，运用语言迁移、对比分析理论，分析英语专业八级写作中母语思维模式在语篇结构层面的负迁移现象，阐述如何加强英语专业八级写作中的英语思维模式意识，采取有效对策，克服母语负迁移，提高英语写作水平。

Abstract

As is well acknowledged, English thought pattern is different from that of Chinese in many ways, which causes negative transfer in English learning. Undoubtedly, it is also a big obstacle to improve English writing. This thesis, from the perspective of the differences between English and Chinese thought pattern, attempts to interpret the negative transfer of Chinese thought pattern in TEM-8 writing by means of contrastive analysis, so as to find a workable way to overcome negative transfer and help students produce more English-like writings.
