《论读书》译文中的语言衔接与连贯
Cohesion and Coherence in the Translation of the Prose Of Studies
摘要
衔接和连贯是语篇语言学中的两个重要概念，也是两个主要的成篇手段。衔接是组成语篇的重要组成部分和方法，这一部分的存在实际上是为了实现整个语篇的连贯。然而，在英汉语篇的翻译中，衔接与连贯这两方面的差异尤为明显，这导致在许多翻译过程中，由于不同语言的衔接手段和连贯形式有着不同，而忽视了对整个段落的衔接以及整篇文章的连贯性，从而造成译文中意思的不完整、不连贯，读者将会很难完全理解文章的意思。所以，译者必须对原语和译语有着比较深入的认识和理解，而且还需要能够熟练运用一些转换方法，才能达到理想的成文效果，让读者能够更好地理解作者想要表达的情感和内容。本文先对衔接与连贯的理论知识进行了探讨与分析，然后结合《论读书》的几篇译文，从词汇、句子等方面来探讨衔接和连贯对于英汉翻译的重要性，使读者对英汉语篇翻译中的衔接与连贯能更加了解。

Abstract
Cohesion and coherence are not only two major concepts of text linguistics, but also main ways of composing a text. Cohesion is an important part of the composition and method of a text. Actually, the existence of this part is to implement the coherence of the entire discourse. However, in translations between two different languages, differences of cohesion and coherence between different languages are very obvious, which lead to the fact that, during translating, many translators ignore the textual cohesion and coherence, which makes the translations become incomplete and incoherent, and then readers cannot understand the meaning of the whole text. Therefore, translators have to know and understand deeply about the original language and the target language. What’s more, they need to skillfully make use of some cohesive devices to achieve the ideal result of composing a text as well. In this paper, first of all, it studies and analyzes the theoretical knowledge of cohesion and coherence. Then it analyzes some words and sentences of several translations of the prose Of Studies to make readers know more about the importance of textual cohesion and coherence in E-C or C-E translations.
