目的论视角下金融英语隐喻的翻译研究
Metaphor Translation in Financial English in Terms of Skopos Theory
摘要
整个世界都在不断进行贸易交易和贸易合作。金融作为贸易的衍生物，正日益蓬勃发展。在金融市场上进行外汇货币交易时，常常会涉及到很多金融英语，并大量引用隐喻。尽管金融领域越来越发达，但是金融隐喻的英文翻译却是不够完善的。因此，金融隐喻翻译值得进一步研究和探讨。通过两种研究方法：检索图书馆库和使用互联网。本文将讨论以下问题：（1）金融英语中的隐喻翻译，和（2） 目的论视角下的隐喻翻译。在翻译金融隐喻的过程中通过举一些范例，本文总结了两个规则（许多短语和跟动物有关的成语都有其隐藏的意思），列出了四种策略（直译，意译，增译和省译），来完善翻译。然而，本文总结了金融英语隐喻的一些翻译方法，仍需大量的实例去验证。因此，在这方面仍可能需要进一步的研究。

Abstract
The whole world is constantly involved in trade transactions and trade cooperation. Finance, as derivatives of trade, also flourishes when foreign exchange currency is traded in the financial markets, and it will involve a lot of financial English, which widely cites metaphors. Despite the already well-developed financial field, the English translation of financial metaphors is not perfect. Thus the financial metaphor translation deserves further study and discussion. Through two research approaches: searching the library and using the Internet, this thesis discusses the following issues: (1) metaphor translation in financial English, and (2) the translation of metaphor in terms of Skopos Theory. Of course, both issues cannot mainly sum up and clearly describe the whole tittle in details; it is only a few views after reading plenty of information and materials. By randomly offering model examples, the paper concluded two rules (many phrases and idioms about animals have their hidden meaning) in translating financial metaphors and listed three strategies (literal translation and free translation, amplification and omission) to help metaphor translation. Whereas, the thesis only summarizes a few translation methods of financial English metaphors, and thus they still need numerous model examples to verify. Therefore, further study in this area may be needed.
