从问候语看中西方文化差异_英语论文

Cultural Differences between West and China from the Perspective of Greetings

摘要

语言既是文化的载体，又是文化的组成部分，两者息息相关。问候语作为语言的一部分与文化也是密不可分的。近年来，我国对外交流不断发展，尤其是和英语国家的交流不断发展，人们使用英语的频率也在不断增长。然而，中西方文化不同，英、汉问候语也存在着明显差异。如果人们不了解英汉语言的差异，特别是在问候语方面的差异，在交际中无可避免会出现一些问题。该研究主要从英、汉问候语这个角度研究中西方的文化差异，旨在为两种语言背景下的人们顺利交流架设桥梁，这对避免中西文化误解和交流障碍，促进跨文化交际有重要意义。

Abstract

Language is the carrier of culture and also part of it, so the two of them are closely related to each other. As a part of language, greetings are inseparably related to culture likewise. Nowadays, with the development of communication with foreign countries, especially English-speaking countries, Chinese people are using English more frequently. However, the cultural differences between West and China are quite different, so are differences in greetings. If Chinese people are not familiar with the differences between them, particularly in greetings, a lot of problems will arise inevitably. This author discusses cultural differences between West and China from the perspective of greetings so as to construct a bridge of communication between English-speaking people and Chinese, which is significant as to avoiding cultural misunderstandings and communication barriers and facilitating the cross-cultural communications.
