摘  要：小说《夜色温柔》出版于1934年，被公认为是菲茨杰拉德最感人的一部作品。以男主人公迪克·戴弗与其妻尼科尔·华伦和女影星罗丝玛丽·霍伊特之间的三角恋爱关系为主线,及围绕这种关系所产生的各种复杂矛盾冲突为辅线，向我们揭示了金钱的腐蚀性和现实的残忍性，也闪烁着爵士乐时代女性的亮点。菲茨杰拉德始终认为《夜色温柔》是一部献给女性的书，小说中的不同的女性人物形象是整个爵士时代各色女性的缩影。本文将从女性主义角度重新解读《夜色温柔》这部经典作品中的女性人物，旨在挖掘这些女性身上所体现的爵士时代女性的特征。第一类是尼科尔在婚前婚后的不同表现，体现了她自我意识从受压抑到慢慢觉醒的过程；其次，罗斯玛丽从一开始就很独立的个性体现了她自我意识的张扬；最后玛丽诺斯和卡罗琳夫人的同性恋身份是向维多利亚式的女性形象示威。这些女性形象是爵士时代的产物，她们的特征是整个爵士时代的缩影写照。她们都在力争成为自己命运的主人,成为那个时代的主人。菲茨杰拉德对新女性所体现出的自立、勇敢和有所追求的特征表达了欢迎和钦佩。

Abstract: The novel Tender is the Night published in 1934 is recognized as one of Fitzgerald's most moving works. The triangle relationship between the hero Dick Dave, his wife Nichol Warren and actress Rosemary Hoyt’s is the main line, and the various complex conflicts arising from this relationship are the auxiliary lines. The book reveals the corrosion of money and the cruelty of reality, and of course, it also glitters the female image in the jazz age. As Fitzgerald insists, Tender is the Night is a book for women. This article will reinterpret the female characters in the classic work Tender is the Night from the feminist perspective, aiming at finding out the characteristics of these women reflected in the jazz age. First of all, Nichol’s different performances before and after marriage embody the process of her self awareness from being repressed to slowly awakening; secondly, Rosemary’s independent personality reflects her extending self awareness from the beginning all the way to the end; finally, Mary North and Caroline’s homosexual identity is a demonstration to Vitoria-style female image. These characters are the products of the jazz age, and their features epitomize the entire jazz age. They are all striving to be masters of their own destiny and become masters of that age. In Tender is the Night, Fitzgerald expressed his admiration for the characteristics of self-reliance, courage and pursuit of freedom reflected by new women.
