从翻译目的论看汉语网络流行语的翻译_英语论文

An Analysis of the Translation of Chinese Network Catchwords from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

摘要

网络流行语及时地反映了我国社会生活的各个层面，是中国语言文化的一部分，也是与其他文化沟通的桥梁，其英译可以使英语读者更加准确地了解中国。本文从翻译目的论角度，通过对汉语网络流行语英译实例的分析，对汉语网络流行语的英译方法作了探讨，总结出汉语网络流行语英译的三种方法：1)直译2)意译3)直译加注，这三种方法能有效地将不同种类的汉语网络流行语翻译成地道的英语。英语读者可以更快捷的了解中国，能切实达到促进跨文化交流的目的。

Abstract

Network catchwords reflect all aspects of people’s life. They are constituents of Chinese language culture that can act as a bridge for cultural communication. English readers can have a deeper understanding of China by reading the English translation. This thesis talks about the definition of network catchwords and then analyzes methods for the translation of network catchwords from the perspective of Skopos theory, in order to convey the information of network catchwords to English readers effectively. The author concludes three translation methods of network catchwords: 1) Literal translation 2) Free translation 3) Literal translation plus annotation. And these three methods can effectively translate the Chinese network catchwords into idiomatic English. Through the translation of network catchwords, we not only can make the English readers better know China but also achieve the purpose of promoting cross-cultural communication.
