从系统功能语言学角度研究《静夜思》及其四个英译本_英语论文

On Four English Versions of Jing Ye Si from the Perspective of Systemic Functional Linguistics

摘要

唐代诗人李白的《静夜思》以其简练的语言和深刻的意义不仅在我国家喻户晓，还被译成多种英文版本。国内对《静夜思》的英译做了多方面的研究，取得了丰硕的成果。本文试图从韩礼德的系统功能语言学的角度来探讨《静夜思》的英文译本，即主要从经验功能和语篇功能两个方面对《静夜思》及其四个英译本进行对比和分析研究。本研究表明系统功能语言学对古诗翻译有重要指导作用，Obata的翻译版本最符合系统功能语言学的要求。

Abstract

Jing Ye Si, composed by the poet Li Bai in Tang Dynasty, is a widely known poem in China and it also has been translated into various English versions, which is very popular for its simplicity and profoundness. Jing Ye Si and translation has been widely researched from various aspects with plentiful and substantial achievements. This paper attempts to probe into the study of Jing Ye Si translation from the perspective of Halliday’s Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). It is to compare and analyze the poem Jing Ye Si and its four English versions from two aspects: the experimental function and the textual function. This paper shows that SFL has important guidance for poem translation, and Obata’s English version of Jing Ye Si is most consistent with the requirements of SFL.
