Abstract

"Coco" is a 3D animation movie produced by Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios, directed by Lee Uncleci, Anthony Gonzalez, Gail García Bernal, Renée, and dubbed by Victor, Benjamin Blatter and other majors. The film tells a little boy, Miguel, who has a dream of being a musician, and Ektor, a charismatic musician started a wonderful adventure in a colorful and mysterious world.

Based on the story background and screen elements of Coco, this article analyzes the film's citation and presentation of the Mexican element, in particular the “Day of the Dead” element. Through the process of the hero encountering a series of obstacles in the pursuit of the dream of music, the movie inspires a discussion between dreams and affection. This film perfectly shows the importance of affection, bringing viewers unlimited thoughts about their loved ones, influencing men and women of all countries, and showing Pixar who has always uphold the "warm heart" and "warm feeling" characteristics.

In the first part of the article, there is a brief introduction of the background and the plot of the film. The second part describes characters of the protagonist Miguel and his grandfather Ektor . The third part tells the manifestation of personal value and family integrity in terms of the meaning of death, the meaning of living, and the relationship between family and dream. The fourth part describes the significance of affection and family in the film in today's society.
