摘要

《1984》是英国文学中一部重要的反极权主义的政治小说，乔治·奥威尔描写了一个高度极权的国家—“大洋国”的生活场景。在这样一个社会里，个人喜好以及情感交流是绝对被禁止的，但越是禁止的，就越要发生。本文主要研究了温斯顿和裘莉亚在极权主义背景下的爱情，分别分析了其爱情的真实性，反抗性和软弱性。正是极权制度的残忍性决定了他们爱情的独特性。本文通过运用对比和举例的方法得出了温斯顿和茱莉亚之间的爱情异于常人之间爱情的结论。最终揭示了极权主义下的爱情必将被彻底击碎的现实，从而引起人们对极权主义主题的思考与重视。

Abstract

Nineteen Eighty-Four is an important anti-totalitarianism political novel in English literature. George Orwell presents readers a vivid description of the real life situation in the Oceania Country，in which it is totally forbidden to own personal feelings or emotions．However, things always go to the opposite. The paper mainly studies the love between Winston and Julia in the background of totalitarianism and analyzes the realness, rebelliousness and vulnerability of love from these three aspects. It is the cruelty of totalitarian system that determines the three unique characteristics of their love. By applying the method of comparison and exemplification, the paper arrives at the conclusion that the love between Winston and Julia is different from that of normal people. Finally the dissertation reveals the truth that their love in totalitarianism is doomed to destruction, so as to arouse people’s thought and draw their attention to the theme of totalitarianism.
