摘要

《月亮与六便士》是威廉·毛姆以法国印象派画家保罗·高更的生平为素材所撰写的长篇小说。作者用第一人称手法，讲述了主人公思特里克兰德 16 年如一日，勤勤恳恳地工作，照顾家庭，突然有一天着了魔的执着于画画，他奔赴各个地方，克服了常人难以克服的困难，最终完成了一幅又一幅令人震惊的画作。斯特里克兰自我价值的实现冲击人们安于现状的生活状态，震撼人们心灵。本文从简要介绍作家以及该作品入手，试图通过分析思特里克兰德克服内外困难来执着绘画这一艰苦过程，来说明实现自我价值的意义以及对他人的启发。
