中国网络游戏产业SWOT分析_英语论文

A SWOT Study of Online Game Industry in China 

摘要

2014年,由于上海自贸区的建设,中国政府取消了已持续长达14年的游戏机禁令,对于整个游戏产业来说产业的春天即将到来,而在这其中,网络游戏有着举足轻重的地位。

在中国经济增速放缓以及全球市场需求低迷的背景下,网络游戏产业已经成为中国经济的亮点和新突破点,同时其发展也能提高就业率、缓解社会矛盾。

中国网络游戏产业的发展存在其自己的问题,如今中国网络游戏产业的问题已日益凸显出来,而这些问题正愈来愈多的制约着我国网络游戏产业的健康,稳定发展。基于中国网络游戏产业发展现状,指出其中存在的优势、劣势、机遇与威胁(SWOT):优势在于中国目前网络游戏玩家数量巨大,同时政府开始重视网络游戏产业的发展;劣势在于中国市场上的网络游戏普遍被认为是缺乏创意的,许多网络游戏仅仅只是改编或者是抄袭的其他游戏;机遇在于中国的业余和职业玩家人数众多,他们背后的潜在市场巨大,值得去开发;内在威胁在于中国网络游戏良莠不齐,外在威胁在于网络游戏产业缺乏相关的制度保障和政策支持,同时还面临外来游戏的冲击。

针对这些情况,在研究的最后,提出合理可行的解决方法与相关意见:1.改善商业环境;2.改变社会传统网络游戏观;3.政府加大支持政策;4.加强政府监督;5.改变教育方式;6.网络游戏公司的自身改善。

Abstract

In 2014, because of the construction of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, Chinese Government cancelled the Game Set Ban which had lasted 14 years since 2000. It means that the springtime of the game industry will come, especially for the online game, which plays a fundamental role in it. 

At the background of the slowdown of the economical growth rate in China and the decrease of the world market’s need, the online game industry has been the highlight and new breakthrough point of the economy, which could increase the employment rate and release the social contradiction.

But the online game industry has its own problems through the period of development, and those problems that will affect the healthy and sustainable development of the industry have gradually appeared to us. The goal of the study is to point out the strength, weakness, opportunity and threats (SWOT) based on the present situation: Strength—the quantity of the online game players is enormous, and the Chinese government has been aware of the necessity to support the development of the online game industry; Weakness—the online games which have come to the market are generally considered as the lacking of ideas and creativities that they are just adapted or copied from other games; Opportunity—China has the most quantities of online game players, both amateur and professional, that the potential market behind them are huge which needs to be pumped; Threat—the inside threat is that the quality of the online games in china is not good enough, and the outside threat is that the related regulations and supporting policies on the development of the online game industry are fragmentary, and the industry is facing the threat of the foreign online games as well.

Concerning such situation, list some reasonable and useful suggestions on the development of the online game industry: 1. The improvement of commercial environment; 2. The change of social traditions and attitudes; 3. The government’s supporting policies; 4. The government supervision; 5. The change of educational methods; 6. The improvement of online game companies themselves.
