摘　要

    幽默是一个永恒的话题。随着文化的不断全球化，幽默翻译更应该被重视，因为幽默是一种深层次的文化形式,是展示民族文化的最好方式之一。随着时间交流和翻译事业的发展，幽默翻译越来越受到翻译理论家和译者的关注，但是由于文化和语言方面的障碍，对于中国读者和译者来说，理解和翻译幽默一直是令人头痛的事情。实际上虽然人们常常为幽默理解和翻译感到烦心，但是幽默翻译仍然有很多推动因素，这些推动因素也是幽默翻译的基础。《围城》在中外现代文坛上都有着重要的地位，并且在中西文化交流中扮演重要角色。通过《围城》中的幽默翻译，我们能更加深刻的理解中外文化差异。本文将研究《围城》中的经典案例，并比较找出更恰当的翻译方法和策略。

Abstract

    Humor has been a longstanding and eternal topic. We should pay more attention to the translation of humor in present , because humor is a cultural presentation in depth and one of the best ways to display the cultural connotation of a nation. With the development of international communication and the translation, the humor translation gains more and more attention from the translation theorists and translator. But because there are too many cultural and linguistic barriers involved, the comprehension and translation of English humor are always headaches for the Chinese reader and translator. Actually, although people are annoyed by the difficulties in comprehending and translation and translating humor, there are still some drivers, the base for humor translation, in humor translation.  Fortress Besieged has a great status both in modern Chinese and west literature and plays an important role in the intercultural communication. We can understand different culture deeply through the translation of humor in Fortress Besieged.  This paper discussed the influence of the cultural difference over the humor translation and explored the proper translation strategy with citations of the original humor pieces in Fortress Besieged and their English versions.
