Abstract:

Affected by the trends of economic globalization, cultural exchanges become more frequent and internet is more popular all over the world. Under such circumstances, American TV Sitcoms are continually introduced into China. Because of their humorous styles and exaggerating performances, they are popular with the young Chinese people. At the same time, as many films and television series flow in and subtitle translation industry develops well, American TV Sitcom subtitle translation plays an important role in the communication. And 2 Broke Girls is the typical example, which presents language flexibility and colloquialism with a lot of skills. In this paper, I will take 2 Broke Girls as an example to analyze the characteristics and skills of American TV Sitcom subtitle translation and find some approaches of Sitcom subtitle translation.

当今世界经济全球化大潮影响下，随着文化的频繁交流和互联网的普及，美国情景喜剧也在不断地被引入中国，其中搞笑诙谐的风格和和演员夸张的动作表情，受到了中国青年一代的欢迎。同时随着大量海外影视作品的流入，字幕翻译行业发展的越来越好，美剧字幕翻译在其中扮演了举足轻重的角色。《破产姐妹》便是其中典型的案例，它运用多种语言技巧来体现美剧情景喜剧语言灵活性和口语化。本文将通过《破产姐妹》这个案例，分析美剧情景喜剧字幕翻译的特点与技巧，并探讨美国情景喜剧的字幕翻译策略。

1.    Introduction
Owing to the appearance of cross-cultural communication, a large number of foreign plays are introduced into China, which drives from the rising demand of subtitle translation. However, no standard system of subtitle translation has been adopted. Compared to the literary translation, it has higher popularity and universality. So the difficulty of subtitle translation is the idiomatic English.
As we all know, the subtitle translation is made by the team who do this just for hobby at the beginning, but now their work becomes more professional. In this paper, I will take 2 Broke Girls as an example to analyze the characteristics and skills of American TV Sitcom subtitle translation and find some approaches of subtitling translation from their translation to advance the process of TV sitcom subtitle translation.
