Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to discuss the pragmatic information of Longman Advanced American Dictionary. Taking Longman Advanced American Dictionary as an example the paper aims to probe into the typical meanings of discourse under different situations and the general rules. The study lists similar pragmatic information which may cause  misunderstanding. And how to distinguish it. The study may be helpful to the English learners.

本文旨在探讨《朗文高阶英汉双解词典》中的语用信息。本文采用了归纳、演绎相结合的方法，以《朗文高阶英汉双解词典》为蓝本探讨了各类语用信息在不同情况下的典型话语意义和一般使用规则，列举出该词典中相近或者相似典型的事例和容易造成误解的语用信息，并加以区分。对于英语学习者而言有一定的借鉴作用。

1. Introduction
The pragmatic Information is guidance on appropriate choice of words in different situations . In a narrow sense, it only refers to the language form by the influence of the specific message. In a broad sense, it is not only the information determined by the speaker's intention and context, but it also covers the related information with semantic culture. From the perspective of pragmatics, the pragmatic information consists of four parts. The first is Speech ACTS. The second is Politeness. The third is Attitude and Emotion. The forth is Fuzzy phenomenon. The above text clearly shows that the pragmatic information plays a key role in learning English. It is the basis of cultivating pragmatic competence. It plays an essential role both in the correct and appropriate understanding of the specific context , in order to achieve better communicative effect. In other words, pragmatic information is the indispensable basic knowledge to the language learners to use the language accurately. The author paper will discuss the pragmatic information in the dictionary from the viewpoints of Address forms, Synonyms, Idioms, Modal Verbs ,etc.
