摘要:
目的论认为翻译具有交际功能,译者采取什么翻译策略取决于其在译语文化环境中所期望达到的目的来决定。进口影片的中文翻译,在考虑各种商业元素的同时,也越来越多考虑到中国观众对精神食粮的需要,这些进口影片的翻译也不断呈现出中国本土化特色。本文以目的论为出发点,结合近年来一些流行的英文电影字幕翻译实例,研究在涉及文化层面时,进口影片的字幕汉译呈现出的“本土化”现象,以期对提高实际的电影字幕汉译水平有所帮助。

Abstract:
The Skopos theory holds that translation is of communicative function determined by the purpose to be achieved in the translated language and culture. Translation of subtitles in foreign films provides Chinese audience with mental food besides commercial factors, and tends to be characterized by localization with Chinese characteristics. The author applies the Skopos Theory to studying the phenomenon of localization in subtitle translations using examples of subtitle translation in several popular foreign movies imported in recent years,hoping that the results will be constructive to English-Chinese subtitle translation.
