摘  要

在如今的贸易活动中，学会在与合作伙伴和顾客商谈、交换意见过程中运用适当的技巧，对于商业人士来说极其重要。此外，在跨国交易发生频繁的今天，用合适的方法来翻译与贸易相关的各类信息也非常必要。模糊是语言本身的一种特性，在很早时期学者们就对其进行了研究。而模糊语言的运用更被视为商谈技巧之一，在语言交流中起到不容忽视的良好作用。因此，若能够准确地对模糊语言进行理解与翻译，则尤其是在商务情景之中我们得以游刃有余地将原语中的模糊语言的语用功能相对应地展现在目标语言之中，使得跨语言商务交流的过程更加体面和顺畅。此篇文章将在介绍模糊语言的定义和分析其语用功能的基础上，提出几个翻译模糊语的技巧。

Abstract

In today’s complex business activities, it is vital for business parties to learn proper communicating techniques when exchanging ideas and information with their business partners and clients. Since multinational transactions take place frequently today, it is rather necessary to use certain techniques when interpreting business related information in order to function well in the trade processes. Vagueness is one of the intrinsic properties of linguistic communication and has been studied by multiple scholars in the past while vague language is believed to be a beneficial tool in the field of business communication as a whole for its numerous functions. Thus, a high capability of correctly comprehending and interpreting vague language allows us to rehabilitate with ease in the target language its functions as the same in the original language, so as to reach the purpose of bringing business the communication processes to a more decent and smoother stage. Therefore, how to interpret vague terms is what this paper is going to explore, on the basis of the introduction of vague language and the analysis of its functions. A few pragmatic functions of vague language and some techniques of translating vague terms will be proposed in the paper.
