摘 要

为了激发学生学习英语的兴趣和提高他们的英语素质,将英文歌曲巧妙地运用到课堂教学中来,是一种非常有效的教学方法。本文阐述了英文歌曲辅助英语教学的作用以及在英语教学中的具体运用,同时指出英文歌曲辅助教学应注意的事项,以期达到快乐学英语的目的。随着教学理论的日益更新和教育手段的不断进步,英文歌曲作为一种多媒体音频辅助教学手段,不仅不会影响正常教学,而且会对英语教有很大的促进作用,帮助教师活跃课堂气氛,寓教于乐,提高学生的学习兴趣和口语能力。

Abstract

In order to stimulate students’ interest on English learning and enhance their English quality, applying English songs flexibly to English class teaching is a very effective teaching method. This thesis presents the functions of English songs in aiding the English teaching and its application in teaching. Meanwhile, it points out the issues that need special attention in the application of English songs as the teaching-assist. The thesis concludes that applying English songs to English class teaching can achieve the effect of studying English in happiness. With the development of teaching theories and educational methods, English songs, as a multimedia method, does not have a negative influence on normal songs; furthermore, it can have great stimulation on English teaching, that is, to help teachers activate the class atmosphere, and to promote students’ learning interest and their speaking ability.

1 Introduction
This paper talks about how to use English songs in English teaching. For a long time, English teaching was affected by the traditional teaching method, and the class was mainly taught about the English grammar. This made the students has less depression of the class. It is difficult to let students learn knowledge from the English Class. Based on that situation, English songs have been a good choice. Because with the development of the electronic products, the mobile phone and MP3 have become the favorite things that students like, and listening to music has become the hobby of most students. Besides, English songs are usually vivid and bright. These features of English songs can change the classroom’s depressing atmosphere.  What is more, English songs contain English grammar, words, and phrases; all of these can help students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore, if English songs can be reasonably combined with English teaching, it will bring positive impact to the class, and make the teaching much more efficient. Today, most English teachers are accustomed to taught English by traditional teaching method; students just sit in a classroom, listen and take notes, it is "very obedient". For a long time, English teaching has been according to the principle of the teachers explain the class for most of the time. Teachers prepare each lesson carefully before the class, and student is busy looking down to take notes in the class which made them follow the mind of teacher instinctively. Then, it less of time to participate in heard of training, the atmosphere also will become very depressed. In fact, the classroom should be student-centered, and the teachers fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students, effectively organize the classroom teaching.
