摘 要

任务指的是交派的工作或是担负的责任。在这个充满竞争的时代,任务尤为重要,每个人都为之努力奋斗。在教学的领域中,任务也是一种不可或缺的元素。为了突出英语在中国改革开放中的重要性,提高学生的语言综合应用能力,一种新型的教学法被应用到实际课堂教学中。任务型语言教学法是现在教育界最提倡的教学法,它注重培养应用能力和创新能力。本文将从任务型语言教学法的起源和任务的概念出发,通过阐述什么是任务型语言教学法,由其概念入手,初步探讨任务型语言教学法的特点,简要分析它的理论基础,并通过收集大量的资料,从任务型语言教学法在英语口语和写作两个方面的应用来讨论,更好地理解了任务型语言教学法在英语课堂教学中的作用。

Abstract

Task refers to the assigned jobs or the taken responsibilities. In this competitive era, task is particularly important and everyone tries his best to realize it. So in the teaching area, task is also one of the indispensable elements. In order to highlight the importance of the English in the China’s reform and open and to improve the students’ comprehensive language application ability, a new-style teaching method is introduced to the practical classroom teaching. The Task-Based Language Teaching Method, which now is the most advocating teaching method by the educational circles, pays more attention to cultivate the abilities of application and innovation. As a people-oriented, student-centered, advanced and efficient teaching method, it can reflect the value of the language, transforms the basic concept of English language application to the practical classroom teaching. Its introducing and advocating has a vital significance to change the Chinese time-consuming and low-efficiency present situation, and it will bring into English class vitality and vigor. This paper attempts to introduce the Task-Based Language Teaching Method from the origin and the definition of the task, and then discuss the characteristics of it and analyze its theoretical basics. Additionally, with the illustration of many materials, the paper elaborates the application of the Task-Based Language Teaching Method to the teaching of the English speaking and writing. And it can help to understand the impact of the Task-Based Language Teaching Method in the English classroom teaching better.

1 Introduction
This paper studies the Task-Based Language Teaching Method and its application. The Task-Based Language Teaching Method emerged in the 1980s. In 1987s, the Indian linguist Prabhu firstly put forward the Task-Based Language Teaching Method suitable for the English classroom teaching in the Bangalore in southern India. And his practice attracted the extensive attention of the language teaching world. During the late 1990s and the early 21st century, the concept of the Task-Based Language Teaching Method has become the hot spot in the study of English Teaching Method. After the 1990s, there were a large number of papers on the Task-Based Language Teaching Method in some journals of the second language teaching.
