摘 要

随着中国经济的发展,英语在人们的日常生活中显得越来越重要。相继而来的各个阶段所采用的英语教学方法也在受到各方面的关注,随着中国教育体制的改革,情境教学法随之出现,并在中学英语的教学中取得一定的成就。在中国的中学英语教学中,情境教学法是一种值得参考和采用的方法,它的核心在于激发学生的情感,强调运动过程和生活情境的一体化,通过在教学中产生生动形象的情景来帮助学生理解教材,并使学生的心理机能能得到发展的教学方法。本文介绍了情景创设的优势,分析了该教学法与传统教学法比较而言的进步之处,并提出了实际教学当中该如何进行具体操作,最后对现行的英语教学体制对情景创设的运用误区进行了分析。

Abstract

As we all know, English becomes more and more important in people’s daily life. The English teaching method which is used in each stage receives a lot of attention. After the reformation of Chinese educational system, the Situational Teaching Method comes into being. Till now it has got great achievements in the English teaching of secondary school. It focuses on the Situational Teaching Method. The core of the Situational Teaching Method is to stimulate students’ emotion. It emphasizes the integration of the dynamic process and the life situation. It also helps students to understand the teaching materials and develop students’ psychological functions through the scenes which can produce vivid images. This paper tries to analyze the Situational Teaching Method from three aspects: a brief introduction and advantages of Situational Teaching Method by comparing with the traditional method. Then a practical case is used to introduce the specific operation. Finally, it analyses some misunderstandings caused by some teachers under the current Chinese educational system.

1 Introduction
This paper gives a thorough analysis of Situational Teaching Method in Middle School from the perspective of its general introduction of the Situational Teaching Method by comparing Situational and Traditional Teaching Method to emphasis the significance and value characteristic of Situational Teaching Method. Meanwhile, the paper introduces the practical application of Situational Teaching of Life by analyzing the current situation. Meanwhile the paper tries to make a discussion on misunderstandings of this teaching method.
1.1 The purpose and significance of the paper
Nowadays, English education plays a very important role. With the development of society, the traditional teaching method cannot meet the demand of English teaching, in order to promote English teaching and learning, the Situational Teaching Method has been adopted in Chinese middle schools. It contains many advantages, for example, it can stimulate students’ interest in learning English and activate the classroom atmosphere and so on.
