摘 要

我国义务教育阶段的课堂都以教师为中心,课堂形式为教师的讲与学生的听、练相结合。对于我国学习英语七年以上的高中生,英语水平不及英美国家七岁小朋友的现象,让我们反思我们的教育制度和教学方法。因此,在新课改的实施下,教师和学生都需要运用科学的方法来提高学习效率。很多教育学者都批判传统的“填鸭式”教学法;提倡“启发式”教学法,在本文作者的观点看来过于片面:“填鸭式”和“启发式”都存在其优缺点。因此本文将通过比较分析这两种教学法,提出更科学的“启发-填鸭式”教学法,提高学习效率,节省学习时间。特别是对于课业繁重的高中生来说,高效的教学法能使其付出的时间跟精力最有效化。本文也将具体说明该方法在高中英语各方面的有效运用,这也值得深入研究。

Abstract

In the period of compulsory education in China, teacher is the center of the Classroom context and the class is the combination of teacher’s teaching and students’ listening and practice. There is a phenomenon made us reflect on our education system and teaching methods: having learned English at least seven years, our high school students’ English abilities are inferior to those seven-year-old children from UK or USA. Thus, under the implementation of the new curriculum reform, both teachers and students should apply scientific methods into improving learning efficiency. Many educational scholars criticize the traditional "Cramming" teaching method and advocate the "Heuristic" teaching method, but these are too prejudiced in the view of the author of this paper, for either Cramming or Heuristic has its advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, this paper will compare and analyze these two teaching methods and put forward a new scientific teaching method named "Heuristic-cramming" teaching method to improve learning efficiency and save learning time. Especially for high school students who have heavy schoolwork, because high-efficient teaching method can make high effects of their time and energy. Besides, this paper will introduce how this method can be applied into different areas of high school English teaching, and this topic is still need to be further research.

1 Introduction

In the old education system of China, teacher is the center of the classroom context, even means everything in a class. In the eyes of students, teacher is as knowledgeable as the God that everything teacher said is right and everything teacher did should never be wrong. The class should be the lecture of teacher where students almost have no participants but only listening. However, in the new ages of education, that does not work now! There must be a new type of education notion whose center is the students and teacher solely becomes a guider, an organizer and an educator. From our primary school to university life, there are a number of students weary of studying or quit school because of disliking study. More than a small part of students are losing the desire of gaining knowledge due to their long-time negative learning mode.
