摘  要

在众多的基础课中,小学英语是课时最多、学习过程最长的课程之一,但是多年来存在的问题很多。小学英语教学必须建立在学生具备一定语言学习策略的基础上进行。当前,小学英语教学的目标和任务是以学生的发展为宗旨,以培养学生的创新精神和实践能力为重点,激发学生学习英语的自信心。养成良好的学习习惯,形成有效的学习方法;使学生通过学习获得良好的语音基础,初步的语感和用英语进行简单的日常交流的能力;因此,在小学英语教学中,教师应让小学生在学习和应用语言过程中逐步培养他们的学习策略。即在教学中渗透给他们一种学习理念和方法,让他们养成良好的学习习惯。教师在教学中除了教授学生语言知识外,最重要的是要引导学生掌握学习策略并且运用到日常的学习当中。

Abstract

In the basic course of study, the primary school English is one of the longest courses, but there are many problems in teaching now. The primary school English teaching must be based upon the language strategies. It is one of the main aims of English teaching in primary schools to stimulate pupils' interests in English and to develop their enthusiasm for learning English. Language learning strategies are not the equivalent of learning method and skill. In addition to including learning methods and learning skills, Language learning strategies also include other content: such as the view of English learners on contents and procedures; The language strategies draw more and more attention in modern English teaching, English course standard of full-time compulsory education published by Ministry of Education of PRC has made the English strategies as one of English teaching goals in elementary schools. Thus, to train students in the learning strategy has been one of the objectives of our foreign language teaching. It not only takes into account the teacher's role in strategy training but also importance of strategy instructions. In daily teaching, teachers should make sure of learners' motivation and arouse their interests and help them develop good learning strategies. Based on the findings of this study, the paper will give some implications for language learning strategies and recommendations for further research as well.

1 Introduction
This paper studies on language learning strategies used by Chinese elementary school students. Some practical suggestions are provided for English teachers. In the early 1970s, the UNESCO have put forward that “learning to learn” should become one of the important essential quality.
