摘 要

在日常的教学活动中,教师除了发挥教材的核心作用外,如何有效地开发利用其他教学资源,丰富教学方式是新课程标准得以实施的极为重要的研究课题之一。而目前,英语报刊阅读作为初中生最重要的课程资源之一,正被各级各类教师、学者等进行广泛研究,探寻合理有效利用这一课程资源到学生日常英语学习中的方法。阅读英语报刊,不仅能为英语教学提供大量真实地道的英语资源,而且充分利用这些资源,能够为学生进一步发展听说读写技能和形成一定的综合语言运用能力创造机会和条件。此外它信息量大, 时效性强的特点, 使学生可以在轻松愉快的阅读中了解各国的社会文化、风土人情。本论文通过调查英语报刊阅读在初中英语教学中的使用情况,根据报刊阅读对促进英语学习的优越性及有效性的分析,并附以相应的教学方法,试图将英语报刊阅读融入初中英语教学,提供新的教学思路使初中英语教学进一步优化。

ABSTRACT

In daily English teaching activities, teachers play an important role to use textbooks to impart knowledge for students, however, it is also extremely significant for teachers to develop other teaching methods and then take advantage of those recourses to implement the New English Curriculum Standards. At present, English newspapers reading, as one of the most important curriculum resources in junior high school, has been extensively studied by all kinds of teachers and scholars to explore rational and efficient teaching approaches to applying to students' daily English learning. And it also provides a lot of authentic English learning environment. In addition, making full use of this resource can also create opportunities and situations for students to develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and improve their pragmatic competence. Since English newspaper is so informative, timely and with special features that students can understand the social cultures, customs of different countries with ease and pleasure. Therefore, this paper is based on the real reading situation of the English newspaper in the junior high school, and with the result of the survey to analyze the advantages and effectiveness of applying English newspaper reading in middle school English teaching. Besides, some suggestions on appropriate teaching methods will also be added in this paper to attempt to integrate newspaper reading into daily English teaching, and provide new ideas in order to further optimize middle school English teaching.
