Abstract 

 With the development of science and technology and the proliferation of internet, online corpus, characterized by huge capacity, genuine materials and quick retrieval, plays an increasingly important role in English learning and teaching. However, the study of the role of online corpus in assisting English vocabulary learning receives little attention. Taking BNC, one of the most important online corpora in the world, as an example, this thesis explores the crucial role of online corpus in English vocabulary learning through various illustrations.
This paper retrieves and analyzes English vocabulary from different texts to study the role of online corpus in English vocabulary learning.
The study indicates that online corpus helps us a lot in revealing word collocation, differentiating synonyms, indicating word frequency, specifying language environment and correcting the misuse of English.
The significance of this study lies in the fact that it figures out the role of online corpus in English vocabulary learning, thus benefiting us a lot in learning English vocabulary.

摘 要

随着科学技术的发展和网络的普及，网络语料库以其容量大、语料真实、检索快捷准确等独特的优势在现在的英语语言学习和语言教学中正发挥着越来越重要的作用。但是，目前利用网络语料库辅助英语词汇学习的研究还比较少。本文主要以世界上主要的网络语料库BNC为例，通过实例研究和分析，来说明网络语料库在辅助英语词汇学习中的重要作用。
本文主要使用“英语国家语料库（BNC）”对各种文本中的词汇进行检索并分析，以说明网络语料库在词汇学习中的作用。
实例研究和分析结果表明，网络语料库在揭示词汇搭配规律、辨析同义词、显示词频、考虑语境和帮助纠正词语用法等方面有着重要的作用。
本研究的意义在于它有助于阐明网络语料库的使用对英语学习者学习英语词汇的辅助作用，从而为英语学习者学习英语词汇提供借鉴和指导。
