Abstract

    Nowadays, with the progressing of globalization, English, as a world language, is widely accepted and used in international issues. As a result, it becomes necessary for students to learn English well, especially oral English. In China, English teaching has been the focus of education for a long period of time and it is well acknowledged that the purpose of learning a language is to use it in communication.
The current situation of English learning prompts our reflections on the traditional English teaching method. Considering the importance of English and the problems that result from the traditional English teaching method, it is now the top priority to find effective methods for the second language teaching.
The thesis, on the analysis of China’s oral English teaching situation in junior schools, tries to use James J. Asher’s TPR method to solve the problems in oral English teaching. The author of this paper tries to analyze the advantages of TPR, shows the significance of this teaching method in junior students’ oral English teaching and furthermore, demonstrates the detailed activities of TPR to solve the problems in oral English teaching.

摘要

随着全球化进程的加快,英语作为世界语言,被广为接受并屡屡运用于国际场合。因而,学好英语,特别是口语对于学生而言至关重要。英语教学一直以来是中国教育的重点,而提高学生的英语口语水平则是英语教学的重要目标之一。
    针对这样的现状,教师应该反思传统的教学模式,思考中国的英语教学存在的问题,并采取高效的教学法以突破第二语言学习的瓶颈。
该论文在分析我国中学英语口语教学现状及问题的基础上,试图运用James J. Asher的全身反应教学法来解决英语口语的教学问题。本文作者着力于证明该教学法在初中口语教学中的诸多优点及其发挥的重要作用,并提供出该教学法在课内外英语口语教学中的具体运用方法,使之适用于初中口语教学。
