ABSTRACT

Nowadays students are lack of motivation in China’s traditional middle school’s English class. Many students are easily distracted in English class. Since the purpose of middle school English teaching is to test students, teachers use traditional teaching method widely when teaching English. Then China’s traditional middle school’s English class is short of vitality, and it’s difficult for students to study consciously in middle school traditional class. The students’ attention in the “Crazy English” class tends to be more concentrated. Students have more interest and participation in the “Crazy English” class. It seems that the teaching method of “Crazy English” can attract the attention of students well. The integration of the “Crazy English” teaching method’s merits into the traditional teaching method can not only improve the testing results and promote more students to high school, but also stimulate students' motivation of learning English.

摘  要

现今中国的中学英语课堂上,学生学习缺乏积极性。很多学生容易在英语课上走神。由于中学英语教学以应试为目的,老师大多运用传统教学法进行教学,课堂缺乏活力。学生在这种课堂上很难自主学习。但是在“疯狂英语”的课堂上,学生们的注意力要相对更集中一些。学生的兴趣更强,对于课堂的参与度很高。 “疯狂英语”所运用的教学法更能吸引学生的注意力。那么,在保留传统中学英语课堂传统教学法的基础上,将“疯狂英语”教学法的优点融合进去,既可以不影响考试结果以及升学率,又能提高学生学习英语的积极性。

Chapter One Introduction
1.1 The Background
Most Chinese students’ foreign language is English. Ways of teaching middle school students to learn English are vary. The two of the typical ones are “Crazy English” teaching method and the traditional English teaching method.
We usually mean “spoon-fed” teaching method when we discussing the traditional English teaching method. The final aim of this teaching is to test students. “Spoon-fed”—the traditional teaching method is a mode of teaching for test. And it is criticized in its rote.
