[摘 要]

动机是英语学习研究领域中一个重要的研究课题。在英语课程中,具有强烈动机的学生往往能够在英语学习中取得成就,然而不具有动机的学生总是成为英语学习中的受挫者。在本论文中,笔者主要研究以下两方面的问题:一,根据现有的相关理论,对中学生英语学习动机进行调查研究。二,对问卷调查的结果进行分析,并提出相应的解决方案。笔者通过对三十名中学生进行问卷调查,结果表明英语学习动机在中学生英语学习中扮演着至关重要的角色。

Abstract:

Motivation is an important research topic in the field of English learning. In the course of leaning English,students with strong motivation can always make good achievements while students without learning motivation are often losers of English learning. In this paper, the author mainly studies the following two aspects: Firstly, according to the existing theory, author does a research on the Junior Middle School students’ English learning motivation;Secondly, after analysis of the questionnaire data, corresponding solutions are proposed by author. Through the questionnaire survey is conducted by the author to the thirty Junior Middle School students, it is obvious that English learning motivation plays a vital role in students’ English learning.

1. Introduction
As we all know,motivation is the power for people to behave. No matter what people do,people need to find proper motivation to support their behaviors. The English learning needs motivation to accelerate. So motivation plays an important role in English learning.But what do people actually mean by the term motivation? What are the different factors that motivate people to direct their behaviors toward certain goals? And what motivates people to perform actions with external rewards or punishments? These questions are worth exploring.It is difficult for some students to master a foreign language.But it is very easy for the other student. What stimulates them to master a foreign language? Why can some students master it while others cannot do it? Various factors influence the learning process of an English learning. In junior middle school,English learning experience a long time. Students learn English from grade three in primary school and they often join a lot of English training classes. But the effect of their English learning is not satisfied. What is the main reason?
