摘  要

语用学是语言学领域中一个以研究语言意义为主的新兴学科。自发展成为一门独立学科以来规模逐渐扩大至今已非常可观。语言学覆盖面甚广,包括语言教学、人际交流、跨文化交际等领域,颇具指导意义。随着外语学习的深入,越来越多的人选择较为轻松的方式学习英语。虽然很多美国人的真实生活与‘老友记’中演绎的不尽相同,但‘老友记’还是比较系统地显示出美国人的生活状态。看‘老友记’会让我们对美国人的生活及美国文化有进一步认识。笔者通过对语用学理论的分析,结合当代英语学习者所喜闻乐见的英语学习方式,从语用学基础理论出发,从语用学角度对老友记的部分语料进行分析,使我们从语用视角了解英语学习的另一种方式。语用学涉及的是一般交往活动的理想前提,而教育作为特定领域内的交往活动,必定具有一般交往活动的普遍特征,也必将能够从语用学的研究成果中获得灵感并汲取营养。

Abstract

Pragmatics is a rising subject in the linguistic field which mainly study about the meaning of language. It has gradually expanded the scale since it developed into an independent subject. Its coverage is pretty wide, including language teaching, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication and other fields. With the further study of foreign language, a growing number of people prefer the relaxing way of English study. In fact, the real lifestyles of many Americans are different from that in Friend. However, Friend systematically reflects the lifestyle of Americans. We can get much closer to the lifestyle of Americans and American culture by watching Friends. This paper based on the theories of linguistics study, combined with the English learning ways that most English learners like, will start with the basic theory of pragmatics, and analyze the linguistic datas in Friend from the perspective of pragmatics. What pragmatics refers to is the premise of normal communication activities. And education, as a communication activity in a special field, must not only have the general feature of normal communication activities, but also achieve inspiration and derive something useful from the research result of pragmatics.
