摘要
阅读是语言学习的主要目的和途径,而我国高中英语教学也是侧重培养学生的阅读能力。研究首先对支架式教学理论进行阐述,然后通过观察法,实验法和问卷调查法三种方式,指出现代阅读教学模式中一些不利于培养学生有效阅读的问题,必须加以改进,并经过支架式阅读教学在高中英语课堂的实践,得出支架式教学法在高中英语阅读教学中是可行的这一结论,并经过实际性阅读教学实践,证实了这一方法能够成功地提高学生的阅读能力。希望进一步提高该模式实际操作的可行性,进一步激发学生学习的兴趣,培养学生的自主学习能力。

Abstract

Reading is the most important purpose and also the most important means of language learning and students’ reading ability should be paid more attention to in English teaching of senior middle school. This thesis first makes a general description of scaffolding teaching theories. Then it gives a general survey of the present senior middle school English reading teaching with the methods of observation, experimentation and questionnaire, pointing out that modern teaching approach in reading should be improved, for it is too traditional to be any good for effective reading. Based on the study of the senior middle school students, at last the thesis concludes that scaffolding instruction is feasible in reading teaching, which is further confirmed by the positive findings of the teaching practice of the author own. The author hopes to enhance the feasibility of the model in practice and further stimulate students' interest in learning, developing students' independent learning ability.

1. Introduction
1.1 Research background
English, as an important tool, is not only learning the culture and science knowledge of English-speaking countries but achieving the international information. What’s more, it is beneficial for the development of oneself and it can satisfy high requirement of comprehensive competence in our country.
With the deepening of the reform in English teaching, the majority of teachers’ teaching concept has been greatly improved. Mentioning the new textbook reform, it propounds new teaching methods and philosophy. But some problems come to our eyes as follows:
 (1) A number of teachers too much emphasis on language and grammar, paying more attention to words and sentence rules in common usage. The teachers ignore application of reading method and cultivation of reading ability. Therefore, students cannot apply knowledge learned in class to the specific materials.
(2)The teachers always ignore the language itself as a tool. In some daily English articles, teachers follow mechanically the textbook but not being flexible to go into life. Therefore, students can only accept knowledge passively, which leads to a situation that the students learn very little while teachers slave away.
(3)Many teachers still prefer the traditional teaching methods in the real class, they rely on the chalk and blackboard, imparting knowledge to students. With the progress of modern technology and modern teaching aids such as video, projectors, tape recorders, multimedia and other large-scale teaching methods approach the classroom, teacher not often used them in real class.
