摘要

在人才培训教育领域,全世界所有国家将家庭教育放在一个非常重要的位置。由于不同社会的社会制度,文化背景,教育目的等等,造成了中美对孩子的家庭教育方面也很不相同。随着全球化的加剧,中国文化面临一种被融化,被改变的危险。在全球化环境下中国面临很多发展的机遇,但更多的是文化的挑战。尽管家庭教育现在吸引了社会圈的注意,尤其是教育界的注意,但是中国家庭教育依然存在许多问题。
这篇论文主要从以下几个方面展开描写:第一介绍定义家庭教育;第二,简要介绍喜福会的主要内容、作者及其主旨;第三,由比较指出家庭教育在中美之间的不同(主要在家庭教育的内容,目的和方法等方面);第四主要是在对照后,阐释产生这些差异的原因;最后,为我国家庭教育提出一些建议及改进的方法。文章通过对《喜福会》文本及其所透视出的文化冲突与融合的描述,分析出在全球化环境中,应该在不同文化中间找到一个平衡点,并以正确的态度来对待文化冲突,同时不要轻易否定母文化,在向全世界学习其他优秀文化的时候,也要向他们传播中国传统文化。

Abstract

In the education projects of training new century talents in the world, all the countries put family education in a very important position. Because of the different social systems, culture backgrounds, education aims and so on, family education is different in many aspects between China and the U S A. Globalization not only brings a lot of chances to china but also brings cultural challenges. Chinese culture faces the dangers of being integrated and changed by many other cultures as the degree of globalization is becoming deeper.
This paper mainly describes from the following aspects. First introduces the definition of family education. Second, by comparison, this paper points out the different family education between China and America (mainly on aspects of family education’s contents, aims and methods). Third, the paper interprets the reasons of these differences. Finally, the paper puts forward several methods that suit Chinese family education. Through contextual analysis of the Joy Luck Club and the conflicts and blending embodied in it, this paper demonstrates that a balance should be kept among different cultures. It also suggests that the native culture must not be thrown away when we learn from other cultures, instead, it should be transmitted to others.

1 Introduction
In its general sense, family education refers to the communication between parents and children. It takes place when a message is produced by one adult of the family for understanding and response by the child or children. As cultural variations are many and great, the ways of the family education are very different .Although as a formalized and defined area of study, family education has a comparatively short history, but more and more emphasis and importance have been placed on family education both in and outside the academic all over the world.
