摘要

企业面试,作为一种选拔人才的形式,并不是一种纯商业的行为,其内包含了丰富的文化内容,是文化的一个直观载体。一个国家、一个民族的文化都可以在企业面试中得到淋漓尽致的体现。我们可以发现,在不同文化影响下,企业的文化和风格都有着各自不同的鲜明的特征,而这种文化对企业的影响在招聘过程当中会得到一定程度的体现,因此我们可以用研究东西方招聘过程中的不同来对比两者之间的文化差异. 所以本文将中国和美国企业的招聘面试过程作为样本,通过对其面试环节问题设置等环节的研究,发现背后所反映出来的中西方文化的差异,了解不同文化背景下对企业产生的不同影响,让读者可以对东西方文化差异有更深的了解. 本文通过对中国美国企业面试的形式,长度,评判标准,选拔人员的尺度,企业参与的人员等一系列方面的对比发现了中美企业面试主要体现了中美文化在价值观,等级观以及时间观上的文化差异。每一个民族都有自己的文化,没有哪个民族的文化一定优于另一个民族的文化。在各国进行跨文化交流日益普遍的当下,了解各国的文化,更能体会和包容他国的文化,更能接受别国的文化,从而创造一个更和平、更和谐的地球村。

ABSTRACT

As a way of selecting top talents, job interview is not merely a commercial act, but contains a great number of cultural connotations, a carrier of culture. A country and a people's culture can be reflected by the job interviews. We can see that, under the influence of the different cultures, the corporation’s culture and style has its own distinct characteristics and this kind of culture will influence on enterprises in the recruitment process so we can make a comparison between the Chinese and American Culture, understand the impact that the cultural difference brought to the companies. The people with different cultural backgrounds will definitely meet a lot of conflicts in cross-cultural communication, which are mostly due to the cultural differences. The thesis manly compare the differences of the Chinese and American job interview’s format length, evaluation standard, quality for selecting people, and the interviewer to reveal the culture differences between China and America at the three levels-- the first level: philosophy of life and values, the rank awareness and the view on time. Every nation has its own culture; and there is no certain type of culture that is better than the others. Nowadays, within the increasing cross-cultural exchange between countries, getting more information about other countries’ culture and being more adaptable to other countries’ culture will definitely enable us to create a more peaceful and harmonious world.
