Abstract

In Hollywood film, a very important secret is trying to manufacture hero mythology. Which means, in the film, the hero often suffer from more cruel torture and relentless test than ordinary people, in the face of all sorts of crisis and difficulties, they never stop this, but to react positively，they always quickly calm themselves down, and make the right judgment and perfect deployment based on their own sober and rational mind, caught the one perfect of chance which ordinary people easily neglected to win the final victory. The Shawshank Redemption copied the American mainstream culture of individualism and the cultural features of heroism with a more graceful, with black humor way, just like a myth.

The Shawshank Redemption is not only a film of the success of prison break, In addition to the success of the actors’ performance, what also contains is that it also lies in the rich American social and cultural information. Especially the special personal heroism temperament which contained in the leading role Andy, so the audience can actually understand the film or not based on the interpretation of the cultural elements in the film. Through the interpretation of all kinds of elements inside the film to reveal the special significance in the film, and expounding the unique culture of reading way, make us think more and deeper about the theme and the contents of the film, and to unscramble the personal heroism contains in the film will help us know and enjoy the film better, it also make us get to know the personal heroism which is different from the general Hollywood film inside the film，and give us a good help when we are facing challenge , which can help us to have a better attitude towards life.

摘        要

好莱坞电影中，一个很重要的秘诀就是极力制造英雄神话。即在影片中,英雄往往比普通人遭受着更残酷的折磨和无情的考验，在面对各种危机和困难，他们从不就此却步，而是积极地去应对,总是凭借着自己清醒、理智的头脑迅速冷静做出正确的判断和完美的部署,抓住平常人容易忽视的那百分之一的机会去赢得最终的胜利。电影《肖申克的救赎》以一种较为温婉、略带黑色幽默地、神话般地复制了美国主流文化中的个人主义和英雄主义的文化特征。
影片《肖申克的救赎》不仅是一部成功的越狱片，除了演员的成功演绎，还在于它所蕴含的丰富的美国社会文化信息，尤其是主角安迪身上所蕴含的个人英雄主义的气质，因此能否准确理解影片还取决于观众对其中的文化元素的解读。通过对影片中各类元素进行解读，揭示出其内在的独特意义，通过阐述其独有的文化解读方式，让我们对影片的内容和主题有了一个更深刻的思考，而对其所蕴含的个人英雄主义进行解读能使我们更好地理解这部影片，理解这部影片不同于一般好莱坞大片的个人英雄主义的内涵，为我们在人生中陷入低潮时，能够更加积极向上的面对生活。
