Abstract

In recent years, business English contracts have become more and more important in international trade，and special contexts and requirements of business English contracts make them have special pragmatic characteristics and effects. Therefore, it’s necessary to analyze business English contracts with relevant pragmatic theories and principles.
This thesis consists of five parts. The first part explains the concept of pragmatics and introduces theory of illocutionary act, Cooperative Principle and deixis. The second part introduces the concept, characteristics and classification of business English contracts. The third part analyzes business English contacts with abidance and violation of Cooperative Principle. The fourth part analyzes business English contracts from directives, commisives and representatives in illocutionary act theory. The fifth part analyzes deixis in business English contracts including person, time, place and textual reference.
Through the pragmatic analysis of business English contracts, the thesis enables those engaged in international trade to deepen their understanding and realization of business English contracts and provides some guidance for the practical application of business English contracts.

摘  要

近年来，商务英语合同在国际贸易中的作用越发重要，而合同文本的特殊语境及要求使得它们有特殊的语用特点及效果。故而，有必要利用语用学相关理论及原则分析商务英语合同。
论文包括五个部分。第一部分解释了语用学的概念并介绍行事行为理论、合作原则以及指示语。第二部分介绍商务英语合同的概念、分类和特点。第三部分主要从合作原则的遵守与违背来分析商务英语合同。第四部分从行事行为理论中的指令类、承诺类以及陈述类行为对商务英语合同进行分析。第五部分对商务英语合同中的指示语进行分析，包括人物指示、时间指示、地点指示以及篇章指示。
通过商务英语合同的语用分析，论文能够帮助国际贸易从业人士加深对商务英语合同的理解和认识，并为商务英语合同的实际应用提供一定指导。
